Woman with small knotless braids finished in wooden beads, worn back from her face

Hair Braiding in Sandy Springs

I've never understood braids that leave your scalp sore for a week after. That's not something you should have to put up with, so it's not how I do things. Whether you want knotless braids, box braids, feed-in cornrows, or something with more detail like stitch braids, every style starts the same way. Clean parts, even tension, and me checking in with you the whole time.

Types of Hair Braiding We Offer

Not every braid is the same braid. Here's what I do and who each one tends to suit.

Close-up of blonde and brown knotless braids

Knotless Braids

No tight bump at the root, so they lay flat and feel light from the second I finish. If braids have hurt your scalp before, this is usually the fix.

From $220

Golden blonde box braids with a center part

Box Braids

The one everyone knows, for good reason. Clean, even parts in regular, mid-back, waist length, or two-tone if you want a little more personality.

From $200

Cornrows swept back close to the scalp

Feed-in Cornrows

Braided flat against your scalp and built up slow, so there's no bulk sitting at the root.

From $150

Box braids with loose curly ends

Boho Braids

Soft, curly pieces left loose here and there. A little more relaxed, a little more you.

From $250

Chunky rope twists

Senegalese Twists

Smooth, rope-like twists instead of a woven braid.

From $250

Top-down view of a zigzag cornrow pattern

Stitch Braids

Sharp, clean parts in whatever pattern you're picturing. Priced by how many you get.

From $20 each

Men's cornrows with a skin fade

Guys' Cornrows

Straight back, clean, low maintenance. In and out.

From $60

Why Clients Come Back

A lot of shops move fast because they have to fit in as many heads as they can. I don't work that way. I see one client at a time, so you get my full attention, not a rushed version of it. We talk through what you actually want before I start, you can trust the tension while I'm working, and what you leave with is built to hold up, not just look good walking out the door.

"Patricia was great. Thorough, thoughtful, tight, and clean work. I'll definitely be back again and would not be afraid to recommend my friends."

Taking Care of Your Braids at Home

Good braids are only half of it. What you do after is what keeps them looking fresh.

Questions People Ask Me About Braiding

How long do braids actually last?

Most styles hold up for 4 to 8 weeks, depending on the style and how fast your hair grows. Smaller, more detailed styles tend to last longer.

Will braiding damage my natural hair?

Not when it's done right. Tension matters more than the style itself, which is why I check in with you throughout instead of braiding straight through and hoping for the best. If your hair's already stressed or shedding, tell me and we'll figure out what makes sense together.

How tight should my braids feel?

Snug, not painful. Tight enough to hold, not tight enough to pull at your hairline. If it hurts, that's not normal. Tell me right away, don't wait it out.

Can I get braids if my hair is damaged?

Depends how damaged. If you're dealing with active breakage or shedding, let's talk honestly before you book so we pick the right approach for where your hair's at right now.

Do you braid kids' hair?

Yes, and I love it. I keep the pace easy for little ones and talk them through what's happening so they're not bored or scared. Just let me know their age when you book so I plan enough time.

Ready for braids that actually feel as good as they look?

Book with Trish for clean parts and even tension, no sore scalp afterward.
